The Borough of Watchung Selects GovSites

Interested in overhauling their borough’s website, the governing body of Watchung sought out a new website vendor. After due process, the Borough of Watchung awarded their website contract to GovSites, one of Spatial Data Logic’s two web solutions.

Watchung’s new site launched this month, offering visitors a fresh new look and easy-to-find department, event, contact, and other municipal information. As an SDL software user, the borough will also have the option to integrate their citizen portal with their website, allowing visitors with a portal account to also search for properties/permits and register for a pet license.

GovSites is well-suited for municipalities that do not have a dedicated webmaster and are looking for an outside company to handle all aspects of their website from design to content updates. When building the website, the GovSites team worked closely with the Borough of Watchung to understand their goals and ensure the final product met the needs of both the municipality and future visitors to the site.

“We successfully launched on the targeted date and received (and continue to receive) many praises for the overdue upgrade!,” said Edith Gil, Borough Clerk.
