Spatial Data Logic Acquires GovSites

Spatial Data Logic has purchased GovSites, an established municipal website provider in the state of New Jersey. The acquisition of GovSites expands Spatial Data Logic’s existing website offerings to include fully customizable municipal websites, social media management and social media archiving.

“GovSites was the perfect complement to our Municipal Management Software solution. While streamlining daily municipal workflows has always been at the core of what we do, our resident facing platforms have become increasingly important as citizens look for more ways to engage with their municipalities online,” said Brian Flood, President of Spatial Data Logic.

“The addition of GovSites will allow us to deliver a more personalized municipal experience for residents. In addition to the SDL Portal and SDL Citizen app, residents will now be able to submit applications, request inspections, report issues and view town alerts directly on their town’s website.  Any resident actions will sync back to the other SDL Platforms.”

“We are excited to join Spatial Data Logic,” said John Flanagan, Founder of GovSites. “Municipal websites have historically been a one-way street where municipalities push information out to their residents, but the residents are unable to take action or respond back. Spatial Data Logic shares our vision to provide municipalities with a truly personalized and two-way website experience for residents. We look forward to being able to offer and evolve our websites to meet the growing needs of our clients and their communities.”
